Tahiti and its capital, Papeete, hosted the Beach Soccer World Cup in September 2013, a FIFA competition won by Russia. For this exceptional event, Alcor Équipements was selected to build a complete 668-seat beach soccer modular grandstand.
Modular Beach Soccer Grandstand in Tahiti: The Project
These stands for beach soccer consisted of 13 rows with transparent front guardrails and removable covers, also integrating technical rooms (changing rooms, press rooms, offices), VIP lounges, and a press platform. This covered stand was specifically designed to withstand cyclones, given its location just a few meters from the sea.
To carry out the complex construction of this modular beach soccer stand, Alcor Équipements dispatched a team of five technicians. The equipment had been shipped by boat in 20 containers. With the support of a skilled local workforce, the entire project was completed within six weeks.

The organizers and FIFA leaders unanimously praised the quality of the stands, calling them the most beautiful ever seen at such a competition. This modular grandstand, built on foundations tailored to the site’s unique challenges (proximity to the sea and winds over 200 km/h), has become a key infrastructure of Tahiti.
