REMOVABLE GRANDSTANDS FOR THE SKI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
From February 6th to 19th, 2023, the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships were held in Méribel-Courchevel.
For two consecutive weeks, visitors enjoyed the event from the removable grandstands provided by Alcor Équipements, offering them a close view of the slopes!
Modular Grandstands by Alcor Equipements in Méribel and Courchevel
The nature of the Méribel and Courchevel sites, both from a tourist and geographical/climatic standpoint, presents multiple complexities that had to be anticipated in advance with the client.
The installation of the modular grandstands for the ski championship required the removal or adaptation of all the equipment initially present in this type of resort.
Furthermore, the topographical particularity of the site required precise adjustments, and the climatic constraints (snow, frost, wind) necessitated additional adaptations and services for the installation of the grandstands, such as scheduling the assembly and disassembly dates outside of snowy periods and covering the seats with protective tarpaulins.
After a week of assembly, the Méribel site now boasts a modular grandstand with 3,195 seats, including a platform for persons with reduced mobility (PMR) and their companions.
The assembly has just been completed at the Méribel site, and we can celebrate another challenge brilliantly met by the Alcor Equipements teams.
