Bordeaux Welcomes a New Stadium for the EURO

With the aging Chaban-Delmas Stadium no longer fit for purpose, Bordeaux unveiled a new venue to host the tournament: the stunningly designed Stade Bordeaux Atlantique.

This modular stadium was built to accommodate not only football matches but also rugby games and concerts. Its adaptable structure was essential to meet the demands of diverse events. This vision led the construction consortium (GTM, Vinci) to select Alcor Équipements to supply the stadium’s modular stands.

Alcor’s football grandstands are positioned behind the goals, seamlessly integrated into the concrete structure by matching the dimensions of landings and stairways. The seats installed are identical to those throughout the rest of the stadium, and walkway flooring mirrors the color of the concrete aisles, preserving architectural harmony.

Modularity is central to the design: the stands can be reconfigured or dismantled to suit different needs:

Rugby configuration: Stands are removed to expand the pitch.
Concert configuration: Sections are disassembled to create direct access to the field.
